WYEP 91.3 FM Education & Outreach is an independent and innovative, listener-supported public media organization. Through its education and outreach programs, WYEP provides many opportunities for its listeners along with their families and communities to learn new things, meet new people and have a great time.
YouthPlaces ensures that underserved, high risk youth ages 12-18 engage in quality after-school programs within their own neighborhoods that are shaped by the community and youth leaders in order to develop the skills of youth and increase their opportunity for success.
Propel is transforming public education in Southwestern Pennsylvania so that all children have access to high performing public schools. This mission is pursued by opening and operating high performance schools of choice in educationally underserved communities.
Mission Discovery is an intensive year-round exploration program for middle school students and their families that provides academic enrichment in math, science, technology and the arts. Students work daily with educators from the four Carnegie Museums at the Hill House after school. Parents are expected to volunteer at least four hours per month.
